Designing Libraries.
In 2015, I was awarded a Churchill Fellow to research the changing vision for public libraries in North America and Europe in light of the impact of new technology that challenges the need for physical books yet highlights the continued need for neutral community spaces.
This research formed the basis of several presentations on the future of libraries: as part of a workshop at the Libraries Taskforce sector forums (2017); as a keynote speaker at the Queensland Public Libraries Association annual conference (2017); as a keynote speaker at the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians annual conference (2018); and as part of a panel at the CILIP annual conference (2020).
